I am Adnan
Hi there!
I prefer an overcast day to direct sun. I love weather and all its variations! I love sleeping in, but also like to check out sunrise from time to time. I love relaxing on my couch with a drink and watching my favorite TV shows. I live for my family. I love, I see, think and breathe in light and I spend my days contemplating and practicing how to capture that light.
But more to the point; I am a dad, a full time Software Engineer by trade, a husband, and a photographer at heart. I have spent past two decades enjoying all of life's adventures, which took me from Saudi Arabia, to Pakistan, to Dubai, to Turkey, to New York, Los Angeles and finally planted our roots in Round Rock, TX. Along the way, I've encountered amazing people, had remarkable experiences, found love and created life. I graduated from University of Southern California (Go Trojans!!!) with Masters in Computer Science. I didn't study photography at school, just picked up a camera years ago and learned on my own. It became my obsession; I strive to achieve excellence in capturing light and hence life itself.
My amazingly sweet, gorgeous, and adorable kids reminds me daily that I have a story to share – and the way I express myself is through light, images, the little moments that create the big picture. I am not driven by the technical aspect of photography – though I greatly appreciate all that is out there and am eager to learn absolutely everything I can. I am driven by those moments that make me race for my camera. I am not driven by praise for my work – but by the laughs, the gasps, and the true emotion that can be evoked by a single photograph. As I was recently told that 'I have the knack for capturing that uncanny detail in pics' and that is what drives me.
Though, as beautiful as my kids are, and as much as I just can't keep my camera off them! I am on a mission to share other's stories. A mission to capture the beauty, the sincerity, the laughs, sometimes the tears and tantrums, the quiet moments and the full on noisy elations of youth, interacting with peers, siblings, parents. I am on a mission to photograph the amazing story told through birth, birthdays, graduations, engagements, weddings – to be a part of documenting these amazing moments that build the bigger story of our individual lives.
I believe each day should be lived with enthusiasm, and I am a constant practitioner in conveying my enthusiasm through the lens.
